Im trying to break this barrier
that is a bubble around me
and build a bridge between us
But what happens when you leave?
and the fault lines between us grow wider
and our bridge is stretched across the gap
old rope torn down to straind tendrils
better to burn it and let you go
maybe drift south to someplace warmer
I have found that way too often we allow ourselves to be caught up in our own little world, not taking the time to see others who are by some reason temporally away from us, thus allowing a distance to grow. We really need to always keep those important to us very close, no matter what the actual distance.
